Difficulty
Nylon (Polyamide) is an engineering-grade thermoplastic known for its exceptional strength, durability, and wear resistance. It offers excellent mechanical properties with natural lubrication, making it ideal for gears, bearings, and mechanical parts.
Moisture Critical
Nylon is extremely hygroscopic. It must be dried before printing and stored in airtight containers with desiccant.
| Setting | Recommended Range |
|---|---|
| Nozzle Temperature | 240-260°C |
| Bed Temperature | 80-100°C |
| Print Speed | 30-40 mm/s |
| Cooling Fan | 0-15% |
| Enclosure | Recommended |
Drying is ESSENTIAL. Wet nylon causes popping, bubbling, and weak prints.
Oven Method:
70-80°C for 6-8 hours
Filament Dryer:
70°C for 4-6 hours
